Overview:

The A1 is a full-frequency (20Hz - 20kHz), 250 watt monaural amplifier built into a slender, space-saving 1.75" high chassis. It can be used with Evolution subwoofers, Evolution monitors or any application where a high quality amplifier is required. The A1 is a Class G design whose benefits are wide dynamic range, low distortion and high efficiency. Because this design supplies "power on demand", it runs cooler than many other types of amplifiers.

The A1 may be placed on a shelf, in a well-ventilated cabinet, or mounted in a standard 19" equipment rack using NHT E1 optional rack ears and hardware.

Features:
Offers both differential balanced and unbalanced (XLR and RCA ) inputs for simple connection with all types of receivers and other audio components.

Speaker connection terminals are heavy-duty 5-way binding posts.

The A1 provides a variety of triggering options which can be set to keep the unit on all the time, automatically power on and off at the presence of an audio signal, or turned on and off from an external DC control signal (5v to 24v).

The right hand side of the A1 front panel houses three colored LEDs to indicate the unit's status: ready state, standby mode or fault/protection. On the bottom of the front panel are trilevel (hi, low, off) courtesy lights positioned to illuminate the controls of the companion X1 Active Crossover.
