| Just
by naming this amplifier, “Power5,” we put a lot more
pressure on ourselves to create a monster than had we gone with
a little more neutral name like… oh, “Bob,” let’s
say. But designing and building anything less than a bona fide paint
peeler wasn’t part of our program. So “Power5”
it is. With 1000 watts of continuous output and a -112dB noise floor,
you can hear everything and nothing simultaneously, yet its digital
design allows it to run cooler, faster and more efficiently than
anything in its class. Further, the “Power5” is blindly
obedient, even intimate (though not in any weird sort of way) with
The Controller. The two interact with each other, sharing knowledge
that regulates, distributes, adjusts, counts and quantifies amplification
needs. The result is a clarity and purity of sound that leaves most
alternatives with the nickname, “Bob.”
