The
Xd system, ladies and gentlemen, costs a bundle. You might even choke
if you knew exactly just how much. However, we thought it not only
fair, but also prudent to be clear on that right out of the gate.
As for superlatives, we’re going to try to steer clear of those
as well. With this as a backdrop, we’d like to start by simply
telling the casual listener that Xd stereo sounds pretty good. Better
than most. It also looks pretty cool. Better than most. And other
than that, not much else to say for people on the lookout for good
sound and nice design. For the few of you in that “different
place,” we’d now like to discuss the merits of slobber
and drool and how both are inextricably linked to actually owning
an Xd Stereo.
In short, we’d like to see how anyone could possibly prevent
themselves from pouring forth with a river of both after listening
to what all that cha-ching actually buys you. In truth, it buys you
something that has never been for sale before now. All we can tell
you (with not one iota of hyperbole or exaggeration) is that you have
not heard anything REMOTELY close to this level of sonic accuracy.
Really, you haven’t. Enter the slobber and/or drool. Honestly.
Xd Stereo provides you with everything you’ve never heard before.
Not most things, everything. From any location in virtually any room.
That’s it. That’s all we can say without grabbing a towel
and wiping our chins. There’s only so much anyone can handle.
